Thanksgiving

I had such a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was so nice to get back to Utah and be with family. I never seem to have enough time to do everything that I want when I am in town, however, it was such a great visit. We were able to go to Karli and Erik's sealing in the ST. George temple while we were there. It was incredible. The spirit was so amazing in that sealing room. When Shon and I got married there was one empty seat in the room we were married in and we told each other that Shon's dad John was probably sitting there that day. Well, in Karli and Erik's sealing room, there was also one empty seat and it was right next to Shon. I am sure if John wasn't sitting in that seat, he was very close by. I know he is very proud of Karli and Erik as are we. What a great experience and I am just grateful to have been able to see it happen.

During my visit my sister gave me this book to read called Remembering Wholeness by Carol Tuttle. This book was so great, so positive and really thought provoking. I can honestly say it is one of those things that is life changing. In her book she talks about the power of our thoughts and living the law of attraction.... (aka...FAITH). She talks about the importance to being the creator of our lives and attracting the things that we desire as long as it is in line with God's will. I heard about the "Secret" a few months ago and how excited people were about that book. Carols book is similar, except I love Carols book because it goes so much farther in terms of spiritual growth. Instead of referring to the Universe, she specifically talks about God our Father and His part in our lives and the literal power/energy of the Saviors atonement. I think the reason why I loved this book so much was because it helped me see that I can come out of this "down" state I have been in and with Gods help, I have the power to live a much richer life (in all areas). This book hasn't really taught me anything new, more so it has helped me reconnect with God in a deeper spiritual way and realize how much more I need Him in my life. I thought I was petitioning Him for help, but after reading this book I finally had to ask myself "where is your faith Emily?"

In this book she talks about petitioning our Angels and allowing them to help us. It has been incredible but I have begun to petition my angels for help and every time I do.... I receive it. I shouldn't be surprised but at first I really was. Now it is so much fun. When we need something, Shon and I are continually asking each other through out the day... did you ask your angles? Where is your belief? This book has helped me strive to live the gospel of Jesus Christ on a much higher level. What an incredible read..... I highly recommend it.

Hey Ems-
I need to read this book. Thanks for the recommendation. Carol Tuttle lives right by my parents and is in their ward. Actually, I think they might have moved recently. Anyway, she is a great lady!
