I hate that it is Friday night and I haven't written anything for 10 days. My life is so hectic right now. I have been super busy with birthday parties, ward Fall Harvest parties, my parents visiting and Shon busy with jury duty.... (yeah, that is right, he is Juror #1o. He can't talk to me about anything regarding the trial, so I don't ask anything. All he can say is that it is an interesting experience.).
I wanted to write down how my visit with the sisters went. Laura is such an incredible person. I am always amazed at how the Lord prepares people to hear the gospel. Her heart is so open and teachable. It was such a great experience for me because it brought back so many memories. I miss those days. The sister missionaries are so in tune and teach by the Spirit. I was trying to just bear my testimony and share my experiences when needed. Laura wants to be baptized but is receiving quite a bit of opposition from her husband. He doesn't want her to "change" in a sense and is not as open to the message as she is. The sisters told her to pray about it and ask the Lord what she should do. We aren't in the business of breaking up families, but the sisters are teaching a message that is essential for all to hear. I have been praying for her to be guided and for her husband's heart to soften. I know she will receive answers. She has the desire to do what is right, and since she wants to follow God, miracles will happen.
